
Exhibition "Nationality Doubtful" commemorating Year 1968 by Czech Photographer Josef Koudelka has stunned Los Angeles

On November 10, 2014, the prestigious Getty Center in Los Angeles inaugurated an exhibition by world-famous Czech photographer Josef Koudelka called "Nationality Doubtful". The opening was attended by more the 400 guests.
The gala evening was launched by remarks of Director of Getty Center Mr. Timothy Potts, and then followed by Josef Koudelka himself, who lives in Paris and today is represented by the world famous photographic agency Magnus. Among the distinguished guests of the evening were several Czech expatriates and local representatives of the Czech film community such as actor Jan Triska, who is also portrayed in one of Koudelka's photographs; composer Elia Cmíral and founder of the Semaphore theatre, George Planner.
Getty Center, for the first time in the history, dedicated the entire photographic pavilion to a single artist, and that is Josef Koudelka. The exhibition "Nationality Doubtful" is divided into several theme blocks composed of Koudelka's photographic series such as Gypsies, Wall, Landscape Retrospective and certainly Prague 1968, which is one of the most impressive and emotionally touching parts. The entire exhibition is focused on period of 1968 and therefore commemorating the importance of the 25th Anniversary of the Velvet Revolution.
On Saturday, November 15 at the Getty Center will hold a daylong symposium entitled "New Walled Order" with Josef Koudelka in attendance .
The exhibition itself is open to the public until 22 March 2015.
