The event attracted more than 60 representatives of British universities, research institutes and private companies from a wide range of disciplines, from biochemistry and medicine to tourism research and film studies.

Participants heard presentations from three keynote speakers - Tomas Hanke from Oxford University, Ladislav Krištoufek from Charles University and Jessie Barton Hroneš from University College London - and had the opportunity to present themselves and their research in four-minute flash talks.

The programme was complemented by presentations by the director of the Czech Centre London, Přemysl Pela, and the chair of the British Czech and Slovak Association Okénko, Jana Nahodilová,
