This day commemorates the parade of Czechoslovak troops and their oath of allegiance in the French town of Darney on June 30, 1918, which later led to the creation of the Czechoslovak Legionary Army. This year’s special guests were the members of the Committee for Defense of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. Besides them, the participants of the event comprised of other defense officials from partner countries, participants of the Children of Heroes project, representatives of the United Kingdom and other partner.
