Ambassador Chatardová visited the island of Jersey

On 26 and 27 October, Ambassador Marie Chatardová visited the island of Jersey.

On the island, the Ambassador visited one of the two remaining Czechoslovak World War II veterans still living on the territory the United Kingdom, Mr. Charles Gad Strasser, who will celebrate his 97th birthday next year. Together with Mr Strasser, the Ambassador filmed a special episode of the Children of Heroes video series and then attended a reception hosted for them by the local Bailiff's Office.

The Ambassador also met with Jersey's Deputy Bailiff Robert MacRae and Simon Crowcroft, Connétable Jersey's capital Saint Helier. The Ambassador also visited the Jersey Museum and attended the ‚Opening of the Field of Remembrance‘ ceremony, where she placed a cross for soldiers who died during the World Wars. Jersey is the largest and southernmost island of the Channel Islands and a British Crown Dependency.
