On 11 June 2026, Atelier Bohemia in London hosted a presentation of student projects developed within the CHYBIK + KRISTOF studio at the Faculty of Architecture of Brno University of Technology (BUT).
The event provided students with an opportunity to present their work to an audience of architects and professionals based in the United Kingdom. The projects addressed contemporary urban challenges and explored potential futures for selected London sites, which the students had previously visited as part of their research and design process.
Among the presenters were Ilinca Sofa, an Erasmus student from Romania studying in Brno, and Tomáš Rabinský, a fifth-year architecture student. Both developed their projects within the CHYBIK + KRISTOF studio under the guidance of academics and practicing architects.
The presentations demonstrated not only the students’ creativity and technical skills, but also the value of connecting higher education, research and professional practice. Presenting their work in an international setting and receiving feedback from professionals offered the students valuable experience and an important opportunity for professional growth.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in London actively supports cooperation between Czech and British universities and welcomes initiatives that provide students with international experience and opportunities to engage with professional communities. The event at Atelier Bohemia offered an inspiring example of how academic education and professional practice can come together to support the next generation of architects.
The Embassy would like to thank Atelier Bohemia, CHYBIK + KRISTOF and the Faculty of Architecture of Brno University of Technology for organising this inspiring event and looks forward to future opportunities to support Czech students and academic institutions in the United Kingdom
