Position Description:

Support for Czech companies in the sectors of agriculture, agricultural machinery, food production, beverages, and food processing technologies in exporting from the Czech Republic to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK), specifically:

• Identifying new export opportunities and establishing new business contacts in the UK for Czech companies in the agricultural and food sectors;
• Planning and implementing events and campaigns to support the export of Czech agricultural and food products to the UK, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in London;
• Supporting Czech companies with the import of agricultural products, food, and technologies from the Czech Republic to the UK;
• Communicating with Czech businesses interested in trade activities in the UK, particularly in relation to applicable regulations;
• Cooperating with and reporting results to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in London and the Czech Ministry of Agriculture.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of economics, agriculture, and agricultural and food processing technologies;
• Familiarity with the agricultural and food sectors in both the Czech Republic and the UK, as well as an understanding of mutual agricultural trade between the UK and the Czech Republic (and the EU more broadly);
• At least 3 years of experience in trading agricultural machinery, food processing technologies, products, food, or beverages is an advantage;
• Independence and results-oriented mindset;
• Willingness to travel within the UK and Czech Republic;
• English at a native speaker level;
• Knowledge of Czech is an advantage.

We Offer:

• A representative role working in cooperation with the Czech Republic’s diplomatic mission and Ministry of Agriculture;
• A one-year contract with the possibility of extension;
• Flexible working arrangement, with visits to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in London approximately 1–2 times per month;
• A monthly salary in the range of £3,000–£4,000, based on performance and scope of work.
