The first ever Czech Business and Investment Forum in Gibraltar will be held on 11 October 2018. The event offers an opportunity to establish contacts with companies not only from Gibraltar, but also from North Africa, especially Morocco, which will also join the Forum.

We would particularly like to encourage companies involved in the following sectors and industries: production and distribution, which could take advantage of duty free zones in Morocco, in particular producers of agricultural machinery, motorcycles and trucks; Internet and BlockChain technology companies (Gibraltar is the first place where this technology is regulated); construction companies, especially those specialising in concrete technology (there is a high interest in high quality and lightweight concrete for high-rise buildings in the region). In view of the planned participation of companies from Israel and the USA among others, we would also like to extend this invitation to Czech manufacturers in the field of health technologies and nano-technologies.

The Business and Investment Forum in Gibraltar will be opened by H.E. Libor Sečka, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the United Kingdom and the event is organised by the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Gibraltar, Mr. Stanislav Čech, with the support of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the United Kingdom which has diplomatic responsibility for Gibraltar.

Czech participants of this mission will be required to cover the costs of their travel and accommodation in Gibraltar and also the cost of a gala dinner. The Investment and Business Forum will be accompanied by a cultural program of events to mark the 100th anniversary of Czech statehood – in the form of several concerts by the Martinů Quartet and a meeting at the residence of the Governor of Gibraltar among other activities.
