Ambassador Sečka visited Northern Ireland

Ambassador Libor Sečka spent three days (4th - 6th September 2017) in Northern Ireland. During his visit, the Ambassador met with the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Belfast, Milan Mládek, the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Nuala McAllister, and representatives of regional political parties.
H.E. Sečka and Mr. Mládek discussed local consular issues and talked about the current political situation. The aim of the friendly meeting with Nuala McAllister was to consider possible cooperation between Belfast and local universities and selected bodies in the Czech Republic or directly with the Czech Embassy in London.
Most importantly, Ambassador Sečka visited the National Assembly of Northern Ireland where he met with representatives of local political parties to discuss the current political situation in Northern Ireland and their views on Brexit.
