Ambassador Libor Sečka in Scotland

On 25 and 26 April 2018, Ambassador Libor Sečka took a business trip to Edinburgh where he met representatives of the Scottish Government, the opposition and local governments.

 

Ambassador Sečka met with representatives of the ruling Scottish National Party: Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister of Scotland; Fiona Hyslop, Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Tourism and External Affairs and Michael Russell, Minister for UK Negotiations on Scotland's Place in Europe.

He also held a meeting with Ruth Davidson MP, the leader of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.

The Czech Ambassador was received by Frank Ross, Lord Provost of the City of Edinburgh and in the Edinburgh City Hall he also met Councillor Donald Wilson, Convener of the Culture and Communities Committee.

Ambassador Sečka and his partners talked about current political issues, about Brexit and about the status and perspectives of mutual cooperation.
