​The Prague Castle and the Czernin Palace hosted the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the accession of the Czech Republic to NATO

On 12th of March 2019 the President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman hosted in the Spanish Hall of the Prague Castle the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the accession of the Czech Republic to NATO together with the Conference „Our security cannot be taken for granted“. The Constitutional officials of the Czech Republic and the presidents of Slovakia, Hungary and Poland attended the event. In the evening, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Tomáš Petříček concluded the celebrations in the Czernin Palace by awarding in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic the 14 eminent figures, including the former US State Secretary Madeleine Albright and former NATO Secretary General lord George Robertson, for their contribution to the Czech membership in NATO.
