On Friday 28 October 2022 the choirs performed in Šmartno pri Litiji. The event was attended by H.E. Mr. Juraj Chmiel, Ambassador of the Czech Republic, and Mr. Rajko Meserko, Mayor of Šmartno pri Litiji. At the beginning of the concert, Ambassador Chmiel highlighted the benefits of cultural and artistic cooperation between the Czech Republic and Slovenia.

 

 

The following day, both ensembles performed in Nova Gorica, where a two-hour cultural program was held, as part of the meeting of Moravian and Slovenian choirs.

Both Moravian choirs were brought to Slovenia under the auspices of the Slovenian Embassy in Prague and the Czech Embassy in Ljubljana by Mrs. Alena Šamonilová, Chairperson of the Czech-Slovenian Society.

Vach's choir of Moravian teachers, which celebrated its 120^th anniversary this year, also performed on 27 October 2022 at a reception for the national holiday of the Czech Republic.
