
Official opening of a temporary bridge over the Meža River in the village of Črna na Koroškem

On Monday 11 September 2023, a temporary bridge over the Meža River in the village of Črna na Koroškem was officially opened. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the National Assembly of Slovenia, Mrs. Urška Klakočar Zupančič, and Deputy Head of Mission of the Czech Republic in Ljubljana, Mr. Pavel Sladký.
The President of the National Assembly, Urška Klakočar Zupančič, attended the opening at the invitation of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Ljubljana, Juraj Chmiel. The visit was arranged during the Ambassador's farewell meeting with the President of the National Assembly at the end of his mission in Slovenia.
In her speech, the President of the National Assembly of Slovenia, Urška Klakočar Zupančič, expressed her appreciation for the work of the soldiers of the Czech Army and thanked the Czech Republic for its quick response and assistance in dealing with the consequences of the devastating floods that hit Slovenia at the beginning of August.
Deputy Head of Mission of the Czech Republic in Ljubljana, Mr. Pavel Sladký informed the President of the National Assembly about the current status of the remaining two temporary bridges that the Czech Army will build in Slovenia.
