Official Farewell Visits of the Czech Ambassador Juraj Chmiel

H.E. Juraj Chmiel, Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Ljubljana, who has been in Slovenia since 2019, is returning to his home country. On the end of his diplomatic mission in Ljubljana, he met with the political leaders and representatives of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia.
Ambassador Juraj Chmiel paid the farewell visit to the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, the President of the National Assembly, Urško Klakočar Zupančič, the President of the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia, Marko Lotrič, the State Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Igor Mally, and the State Secretary for European Affairs, International Law and Protection of Interests, Marko Štucin.
All agreed that bilateral cooperation between the two countries is excellent and friendly. Both countries are taking a constructive approach to solving problems in the region, the EU and its neighbourhood. The economic cooperation is developing despite current global problems positively and there are still many open opportunities for the future. They also underlined the importance of the Ambassador's efforts to deepen friendly bilateral relations, especially in the field of culture and economy.
Finally, they thanked Ambassador Chmiel for all his support, assistance and quick response to the devastating floods that hit a large part of Slovenia in August and cooperation and help during the covid pandemics.
Ambassador continues with informal farewell meetings in the various regional parts of Slovenia.
