Thanks to the diligent efforts of the Czech and Vietnamese governments, students from both countries once again have the opportunity to study in Czechia and Vietnam. This has been made possible by the groundbreaking education cooperation agreement signed by both countries during the official visit of the Vietnamese Prime Minister to Prague.
This agreement is the result of years of dedicated efforts and confirms the excellent relations between the two countries, which this year celebrate 75 years of diplomatic ties. Its signing not only symbolizes the long-standing friendship between the Czech Republic and Vietnam but also opens up new opportunities for talented students and academics. In addition to individual benefits for students and researchers, it strengthens academic ties between the two nations, fosters cultural exchange, and enhances the attractiveness of the Czech Republic for international students.
Under the agreement, the Czech Republic is offering scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year:
- 60 scholarship months for Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral students who wish to undertake short-term study, or research stays at Czech public HEIs, an individual stay may range from 2 to 10 months,
- 2 scholarship months for academic staff who wish to undertake research stays at Czech public higher education institutions (HEIs), an individual visit may range from 2 to 4 weeks.
Applicants may choose from wide range of programmes provided by public HEIs. An overview of study programmes and courses offered in English is available on the website: www.studyin.cz. Detailed information on specific study programmes can be found on websites of HEIs.
General information about admission requirements can be found on the website of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS).
All documents must be submitted in Czech or English or accompanied by a certified translation into one of these languages.
