Small-scale development projects aim to provide targeted support to local entities for smaller development activities. These activities may include providing equipment or materials, conducting training, supporting local institutions, or contributing to a specific part of a larger project. A key condition for these projects is sustainability, ensuring that the project can continue operating in the future without the need for ongoing financial support.
Proposals must be submitted in the form of a fully completed identification form (attached below) in English or Czech. The form must be signed by an authorized person and accompanied by a copy of a document proving the legal personality of the submitter and the authority of the representative to act on behalf of the entity in the country of project implementation.

Please note the following requirements and conditions:  

SPECIFICATION
Implementer of the small-scale project is a local subject with legal personality in the country of the project implementation,

Implementer must be eligible to sign contract with MFA CZ that establishes jurisdiction of Czech laws and Czech courts,

It is desirable that the implementer would cooperate with Czech subjects, e.g. would purchase Czech products, use Czech know-how etc.,

The Czech financial contribution for the project is 200,000 CZK – 500,000 CZK, which is approx.. (8 000 – 20 000 USD, depending on the current exchange rate). Co-financing from other sources is optional but desirable. The total cost of salary/fee, subsistence allowance, accommodation, travel cost and eventual insurance and vaccination of the experts must not exceed 25 % of the project´s total costs,

Funds are allocated to non-political and non-governmental group only,

There is no thematic or geographical limitation to the project proposals, but they should align with the development cooperation priorities of the Czech Republic.

IMPLEMENTATION
Implementation of the project can be started only after signing the contract,

The project implementation, including all related billing, must be completed by October 31, 2025,

The small-scale development project does not include the payment of the implementer´s administrative costs,

The financial amount approved for the implementation of the small-scale development project in CZK is also binding for the conversion into foreign currency,

The project needs to be sustainable (be able to run without financial support in the future),

Tangible assets of the project should be marked with a logo of the Czech development cooperation. In the case of project´s intangible assets, it is always necessary to mention the financial support of the Czech development cooperation,

The transfer of funds between items in the approved identification form must be justified in writing to Embassy and described in the final report.

Kindly pay attention to the evaluation criteria listed at the end of the identification form.

TERMINATION
The project implementer is obliged to submit a written final project report, incl. financial report to the Embassy no later than one month after the end of the project,

The photo documentation of the project outcomes has to be attached to the final report by the implementer.

Please send the completed identification form and the two attachments (proof that the representative is authorized to act on behalf of the entity, proof of the organization's legal subjectivity, no other attachments needed) as scans to Hanoi.Commerce@mzv.gov.cz with email subject: "Name of your organization - SMALL SCALE PROJECT APPLICATION 2025 VIETNAM " by 27 September 2024. It is also required to submit original documentation by post to the Embassy by this date.
