Visit of the Standing Commission on the Activities of the Office of the Chamber of Deputies to the Oireachtas

From October 24 until October 27, 2022, the Standing Commission on the Activities of the Office of the Chamber of Deputies (Stanislav Bláha - chairperson of the Commission, Miloslav Janulík - vice-chairperson of the Commission, Jaroslava Pokorná Jermanová - vice-chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Radek Vondráček - chairperson of the Committee on Constitutional and Legal Affairs, Martin Plíšek - Secretary General of the Office of the Chamber of Deputies) made a visit to the Irish Parliament, the Houses of the Oireachtas.
The aim of the visit was to become more familiar with the practical functioning of the Irish legislative body (security in terms of technology, administrative security). In addition to participating in presentations by representatives of the official apparatus of the Irish Parliament accompanied by expert discussions, the members of the delegation met with Catherine Connolly, Leas-Chean Comhairle of Dáil Éireann, Joe O´Reilly, Leas-Chathaoirleach of Seanad Éireann, Ivana Bacik, a member of the Parliament of Czech origin, and with Peter Finnegan, Secretary General of the Houses of the Oireachtas Service. In the presence of the Czech delegation, Leas-Chathaoirleach J. O´Reilly delivered official greetings on the occasion of the national holiday of the Czech Republic (October 28) during the plenary session of the upper chamber of the Parliament.
