Czech Participation in the SEAI Energy Show 2016

This year’s Energy Show Exhibition, organised by the Irish government agency the SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland), was held on the 6 and 7 April 2016 in the Royal Dublin Society (RDS). This was the third year where the Czech Republic was represented at this significant event in the renewable energy business calendar.

The B2B event is very important in the Irish context as it brings together buyers, suppliers and key decision-makers in the growing field of renewable energy. The total number of participants at the fair this year was around 4000, which is an impressive figure for a country of Ireland’s size and reflects both the growing interest in renewable energy and the economic revival which is taking place.

The Czech Republic participated again this year through its information booth in the International Zone, where there were extensive presentations held over the course of the two days.  Present were a range of Czech companies involved in the solar industry including SALTEK, Bayo-S, Unites and Kaska. The biomass sector was represented by Benekov, Petrojet Trade and Smart Heating. In the international zone the brightly-coloured Czech stand attracted many visitors who were also able to enjoy a sample of Herold, a Czech beer.

The stand, which was organised by the London-based state agency CzechTrade, was visited by Ambassador Hana Mottlová, who was accompanied by Tom Halpin of SEAI. Together with representatives of CzechInvest and CzechTrade, they discussed the possibility of future successful cooperation in the coming years at the Energy Show.

The primary objective of the event was to establish contacts between Czech companies active in the renewable energy business with potential business partners in Ireland.
