Contemporary Czech illustrations – invite to the „12 Worlds“ exhibition in Dún Laoghaire

The Czech Embassy organized an exhibition titled “12 Worlds”, showcasing twelve current Czech illustrators of children’s books. The exhibition took place in the Library and Cultural Center LexIcon in Dún Laoghaire on March 2018.
The exhibition “12 Worlds” has been provided by the Terra Cultura company and showcases a dozen of current Czech artists of middle to younger generations, who have dedicated their talents to illustrating children’s books. The exhibition took place from 15 January to 31 March 2018 at the children’s section of the main library in the cultural se centre LexIcon, Dún Laoghaire – Rathdown.
The exhibition was launched on 16 January by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Councillor Cormac Devlin and the Czech Ambassador Hana Mottlová. During the opening, the children’s choir from the Czech School Dublin performend songs from Jiří Suchý, Jaroslav Uhlíř and Zdeňek Svěrák.
The Embassy expresses its gratitude to the LexIcon Library and Cultural Center, namely Dr. Marian Thérèse Keys for her wonderful co-operation in the realisation of this project.
