Seminar on "Equality between Women and Men in Defence and Security Environments "

On May 20, 2024, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Dublin organised a seminar on "Equality between Women and Men in Defence and Security Environments" in the premises of the Stephen's Green Club in Dublin. The project is part of Agenda 2030 focused on SDG 5 "Equality between men and women". On behalf of the Czech Republic, head of the department of public communication the Czech Army, col. Magdalena Dvořáková took part as she talked about her experience of gender equality in the military environment and her role of gender advisor to the International Military Staff at the NATO Headquarters. Other participants included Norwegian Ambassador to Ireland and former Special Representative of the NATO Secretary General for Women, Peace and Security Mari Skåre, former Ombudsman of the Irish Defence Forces Paulyn Marrinan Quinn and former Irish Garda Commissioner and Assistant Secretary-General for the Department of Safety and Security Nóirín O'Sullivan.
