Working visit to Ireland of State Secretary for European Affairs Tomáš Prouza

On 2 and 3 November 2015, the State Secretary for European Affairs Tomáš Prouza travelled to Dublin for a working visit.

State Secretary Prouza met with representatives from the Department of Taoiseach, and also from the Departments of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Finance, and Public Expenditure and Reform, to discuss issues related to the European Union. At the forefront of these discussions for both sides were issues of economic stability and growth in the EU, further integration in Europe, the question of UK membership in the EU, and the problems associated with increased migration into Europe.

At the renowned Irish think-tank the Institute of International and European Affairs (www.iiea.com) Mr. Prouza spoke about and participated in a debate on the future direction of the European Union.
