Closing ceremony of the 2018/19 school year at the Czech School Dublin

On Saturday, June 15, 2019, the 2018/19 school year at the Czech School Dublin came to a close, as a ceremony was held to celebrate the 5th anniversary of its foundation.

The children prepared a program full of scenes, songs and poems. At the end of a beautiful afternoon, the school director Petra Miletínová and the director of the preschool section Ivana Rocca Kovářová presented the children with a certificate of completion.

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Ireland Petr Kynštetr also attended the event. In his speech, he thanked the teachers and volunteers for their dedicated work. He highly appreciated the interest of parents and children in teaching not only the Czech language but also other subjects that help the children maintain awareness of their homeland. He stressed that the Czech Embassy has been supporting the Dublin School for a long time and will continue to do so. At the end, he wished everyone pleasant holidays and gave the children small presents.

The Czech School Dublin provides tuition through Czech for children from mixed marriages and Czech families living in Ireland. The school is based on the international Czech School without Borders and its educational programme. Tuition takes place every Saturday (except for Bank Holiday weekends) from 09:45 to 12.45 at Ballyroan Library, Orchardstown Ave, Rathfarnham, Dublin 14.
