Beautiful concerts of the Prague Chamber Orchestra in Dublin and Cork

The renowned Prague Chamber Orchestra held concerts on 26 October in the Cork Opera House in Cork and on 27 October in the National Concert Hall in Dublin. Visitors had a chance to hear compositions from Antonin Dvorak, Bohuslav Martinu, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven.

The renowned Prague Chamber Orchestra performed in Ireland. The concerts were held in Cork, in the Cork Opera House on 26 October and on  27 October, in Dublin in the National Concert Hall. The programme for both evenings included the Czech Suite in D major from Antonin Dvorak, Serenade No. 2 for Two Violins and Viola from Bohuslav Martinu, “Prague” Symphony in D major from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the Coriolan Overture from Ludwig van Beethoven.

The Prague Chamber Orchestra is among the four oldest chamber orchestras in Europe. This year it has celebrated 65 years since its foundation. It stands out as an orchestra of the so-called Mozart cast, which is able to perform without a conductor. It focuses on the interpretation of music from the 18 th century up to the present day. During its uninterrupted existence it has performed over 2200 concerts in 64 countries.
