Concert to mark the 25th anniversary of the Visegrád Group

A gala concert was held in Dublin on 9 June 2016 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Visegrád Group.
On 9 June 2016 the Dublin Embassies of Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic organised a musical evening at the residence of the Polish ambassador. Guests were entertained by an assortment of accomplished artists from the four Visegrád countries and the varied musical programme included classiscal music, folk music and other musical genres.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic chose young Czech talents, the Brychta brothers. Trumpeter Leo (13) and cellist Alex (19) were accompanied by Irish pianist Michael Quinn as they performed their interpretations of songs by Zdeněk Fibich and David Popper.
At the reception following the concert guests were treated to a selection of traditional drinks from the Visegrád countries, with Budweiser Budvar beer representing the Czech Republic.
