This article contains instructions for scheduling appointments to submit visa / residence permit applications. Please pay close attention to these instructions and follow them precisely
SCHENGEN VISAS
To submit a Schengen visa application, contact directly the visa center in Doha. You can submit your Schengen visa application directly at the Czech Embassy in Doha only if you are applying as a family member of an EU citizen or if you are traveling in the interest of the Czech Republic or on humanitarian grounds – in such situations, please contact consulate by e-mail in advance: doha.consulate@mzv.gov.cz
LONG-TERM VISAS AND PERMITS
(EXCEPT OF EMPLOYEE CARDS AND LONG-TERM SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT!!)
1. Send your appointment request to submit a visa / residence permit application to: doha.consulate@mzv.gov.cz. 2. State the following in the e-mail subject: full name (as it appears in the passport), type of visa, purpose of travel and passport number. 3. Attach scans of the following documents (in .pdf format) to your e-mail: purpose of travel, passport data page, QTR ID and an evidence that you have been staying in QTR for at least last 2 years . 4. 1 applicant = 1 e-mail. Send one e-mail only. Each e-mail can contain only one appointment request – except when parents request appointment with their minor children (→ parent includes the minor children in the registration) and when family travels together (→ one family member includes the minor children and the husband/wife in the registration). 5. Your e-mail will be registered in a queue in the order received.* 6. Following e-mails will be excluded from the registration: 1) e-mails not sent according to the instructions in point 2, 2) e-mails without attachments in point 3, 3) e-mails containing requests for registration of more than one person – with the exception of e-mails of parents co-registering their minor children or a family member co-registering his/her children and husband/wife, 4) e-mails sent by one applicant more than once, 5) e-mails sent to a different e-mail address than in point 1, 6) e-mails containing attachments exceeding 10 MB. 7. Wait for an e-mail confirmation. The consulate will inform you whether the appointment was granted within one week. 8. Once confirmed, the appointment cannot be rescheduled. If you fail to arrive, you lose your appointment. If you arrive late without notifying us, you lose your appointment as well – the consulate will provide services to those applicants who arrive on time. Average waiting time for long-term visa / residence permit appointment: 2-3 weeks (during the summer season can be longer)Number of long-term visa / residence permit applications accepted weekly: 8* The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Abu Dhabi does not alter the order of registrations. Appointments are scheduled in the order in which the registration e-mail was received, in accordance with the principle of transparency and predictability and based on consulate´s capacity. Do inform us if you cannot keep your appointment. If you do not keep your appointment, reschedule a new one according to the instructions above. |
EMPLOYEE CARDS
LONG-TERM VISAS – SEASONAL WORK
On August 15, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., registration will take place to receive applications for the purpose of employee cards and long-term visas for purpose of seasonal work for the term August - September - October 2025.
1. Send a registration email to the following email address: doha.employment@mzv.gov.cz on the above-mentioned date at the above-mentioned time.* 2. Indicate your passport number in the email subject line. 3. In the body of the email, include the following information: full name (as it appears on your travel document), type of visa and purpose of stay. 4. Attach the following documents to the e-mail (in .pdf format): a scan of the passport data page, a scan of the proof of purpose of stay in Czechia (e.g. work agreement), and a scan of the valid residence permit (in the case of third-country nationals). 5. Applicants who are not citizens of the countries belonging to the territorial jurisdiction of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Doha must also attach proof that they have been permitted to reside in the country within the territorial jurisdiction of the Embassy for at least the two years preceding the application. If residence cannot be proven, the applicant must submit the application in their home country. 6. 1 applicant = 1 e-mail. Submit only one email per applicant. Only one applicant can be submitted in each email. 7. Your e-mail will be processed electronically by a system based on a randomized element. 8. The following emails will be disqualified from the registration process: (i) emails that are not sent in the format specified in point 2, (ii) emails that do not include the attachments referred to in point 4, iii) emails in which the applicant attempts to register multiple applicants in one submission** (iv) emails that are sent multiple times by one applicant, v) emails sent outside the specified registration period, vi) emails with attachments larger than 10 MB. 9. Wait for the confirmation. The Embassy will inform you within 7 days whether or not a submission date has been assigned. 10. If you do not receive confirmation of an assigned appointment within 7 days, it implies that your registration for an appointment was either unsuccessful or was not sent in accordance with the terms and conditions of the registration process. 11. The assigned date cannot be changed. If you fail to show up for your appointment, the assigned date becomes invalid. If you arrive late without prior apology, your appointment will also be cancelled - in such a case, the Embassy will proceed with other applicants who arrived on time. They are not intended for general communication or answering inquiries. **In order to ensure the functionality of the system, the mzv.gov.cz domain antispam may identify attempts to send bulk registrations via software tools as spam. As a result, such registrations will not be processed. |
