Karama Beirut Human Rights Film Festival is the first human rights festival in Lebanon. This year, the festival took place in Beirut at the Metropolis Empire Sofil cinema from July 17 to 20, 2018. During these days 16 human rights films were screened and discussion with their authors and protagonists followed. Ambassador Michaela Froňková spoke at the press conference launching the festival. Haytham Chamass, director of the festival, expressed his thank to all the sponsors, including the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beirut. He emphasized that it would not be possible to organize the festival without their help.
