A small local project will help improve the quality of the emergency service in the Chouf region

This year, the Czech Republic supported a small local project consisting of equipping the local emergency station in the village of Aanout with a medical device for indirect chest massage. It was implemented by the non-profit organization Development for Life and Peace Association.

The organization established an emergency aid station in the village of Aaount, operating its interventions in a relatively large area, where 17 villages are located, in a situation where it would be necessary to wait significantly longer for another nearest emergency service. The project financially supported the purchase of the state-of-the-art LUCAS indirect chest compression system. The system is a key tool for emergency care teams, especially in challenging environments such as remote villages and low-rise buildings. It has supplemented the equipment of the emergency aid station and in the future significantly increases the chances of survival of patients during transport to specialized hospitals. The beneficiary also provided plans for further additions to the equipment and services of the medical station, indicating its real intense interest in continuously improving medical services for the local community. The project successfully supplemented Czech medical support in the form of tied financial donations or MEDEVAC missions.
