Czech Ambassador Pavel Vacek hosted a reception on 27 October 2023 to mark the anniversary of the Czechoslovak Republic (28 October 1918) and the Centenary of the Republic of Türkiye (29 October 1923). The principal Guest of Honour, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay, delivered a speech, together with the Host. 
The event was also attended by the Chairman of the Czechia Friendship Group in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Dr. Murat Cingi, the Chairman of the EU Harmonisation Committee, Mr. Burhan Kayatürk and other MPs and officials, as well as Ambassadors, other diplomats and friends of Czechia.
