Czech Republic–Ethiopia Parliamentary Friendship Group Established in the Czech Chamber of Deputies (Czech Parliament)

The Czech Republic–Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group has been established in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. Pavel Růžička, Member of the Chamber of Deputies, was elected Chair of the Group. The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Addis Ababa welcomes its establishment and stands ready to support its future activities.
On 8 October 2026, the Czech Republic–Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group was established in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. Pavel Růžička, Member of the Chamber of Deputies, was elected Chair of the Group. The establishment of the Group provides a new opportunity to develop Czech-Ethiopian relations and strengthen dialogue between the legislative bodies of the two countries. It can facilitate mutual visits, exchanges of experience and discussions on issues of shared interest.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Addis Ababa welcomes the establishment of the Group and stands ready to support its future activities aimed at further developing Czech-Ethiopian inter-parliamentary relations. The Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in Berlin was also officially informed about the establishment of the Group. The establishment of the Friendship Group is a welcome step that can contribute to deeper political contacts, improved mutual understanding and the continued development of cooperation between the Czech Republic and Ethiopia.
