Local transformation projects are part of the Czech Human Rights and Transition Policy which stands on coherence, credibility and openness. Proposed transformative cooperation projects must be in line with the priorities of human rights promotion and transformative cooperation and should include for example:

1. support to civil society;
2. promotion of equality and non-discrimination;
3. the promotion of human rights in the areas of employment and environment.

Proposals must be submitted in the form of a fully completed identification form (attached below) in English or Czech. The form must be signed by an authorized person and, in the case of non-state entities, accompanied by a copy of a document proving the legal personality of the submitter and the authority of the representative to act on behalf of the entity in the country of project implementation.

Please note the following requirements and conditions:  

SPECIFICATION

1. Implementer of the local transformation project is a local subject with legal personality in the country of the project implementation,
2. Implementer must be eligible to sign contract with MFA CZ that establishes jurisdiction of Czech laws and Czech courts,
3. The Czech financial contribution for the project is 100,000 CZK – 500,000 CZK (co-financing from other sources is optional but desirable),
   1. exchange rate for 10/2024 is 1 ETB = 0,191770 CZK, 1 SSP = 0,0077430 CZK, 594,624 KMF = 1 EUR,
   2. 100,000 to 500,000 CZK is approximately 3,957 to 19,782 EUR.
4. Funds are allocated to non-political and non-governmental group only,
5. Submitted proposals can be changed based on the notice from the Embassy until the deadline 20 October 2024.
6. There is no thematic or geographical limitation to the project proposals, but they should align with the transition promotion program of the Czech Republic.

IMPLEMENTATION

1. Implementation of the project can be started only after signing the contract,
2. The project implementation must start on or after March 1, 2025 and must be completed by October 31, 2025,
3. The financial amount approved for the implementation of the local transformation project in CZK is also binding for the conversion into foreign currency,
4. Tangible assets of the project should be marked with a logo of the TRANSITION. 
5. Kindly pay attention to the evaluation criteria listed at the end of the identification form.

TERMINATION

1. The project implementer is obliged to submit a written final project report, incl. financial report to the Embassy no later than one month after the end of the project,
2. The photo documentation of the project outcomes has to be attached to the final report by the implementer.

Please send the completed identification form and the two attachments (proof that the representative is authorized to act on behalf of the entity, proof of the organization's legal subjectivity) as scans to matyas.baloun@mzv.gov.cz with email subject: "LOCAL TRANSFORMATION PROJECT APPLICATION 2025 – ‚COUNTRY OF IMPLEMENTATION‘ " by 20 October 2024. It is also required to submit original documentation to the Embassy by this date.

Emails not fulfilling these requirements will be disregarded.
