Ambassador Karel Hejč Awarded Students from Beteseb Academy

On November 25, 2016 Ambassador Karel Hejč visited the Beteseb Academy found in Ayer Tena to hand over Diplomas “Honorable Mention” within the International Children´s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice.
 

The ceremony started by the welcoming speech of His Excellency Karel Hejč, followed by the speech of the director of the Beteseb Academy. The national anthems of the two countries were played. Not only had the participants of this year contest participated at the ceremony but also winners from last years. This year 2 students of the Beteseb Academy were awarded – Liya Tekalign and Chernet Fikadu. They have received award certificates and gifts from the Czech Embassy.

Each year, hundreds of children from all over the world participate in the International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice in the Czech Republic organized by the Lidice Memorial. The 44th year of the competition in 2016 under the theme "School/ Education!" received 18 075 works from the whole world.
