Czech government scholarships for Ethiopian students for academic year 2027/2028

Prospective students from Ethiopia are encouraged to apply for the scholarship program funded by the Government of the Czech Republic. The deadline for applications is September 30, 2026.
The Government of the Czech Republic has approved the university scholarship program for the academic year 2027/2028. The citizens of Ethiopia are included among the eligible applicants for the program.
Granting scholarships to citizens from developing countries for studies in the Czech Republic represents an important long-term part of the development cooperation efforts of the Czech Republic. Ethiopia, as a priority country of the Czech development cooperation, has been benefiting from the scholarship program since 2017.
The call for applications is open for students who hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree. Eligible applicants may choose from a wide range of follow-up Master and Doctoral Study programs at a number of Czech universities. All the study programs are in English language.

As all relevant information is available online, the Embassy will not respond to emails regarding the scholarship program. Only students who are successfully pre-selected will be contacted directly by the Embassy by December 2026 and provided with detailed information about the next steps, including the remainder of the selection process.
IMPORTANT: If you are not selected to proceed to the next stage of the process, please do not contact the Embassy, as your email will not receive a response. The Embassy is currently processing thousands of applications and does not have the capacity to provide individual explanations regarding selection decisions, identify deficiencies in applications, or reschedule interview appointments.
