The project, which responds to the rapid growth of cybercrime and the spread of disinformation, is being implemented by the Africa Center for Digital Transformation (ACDT). The training will take place in the largest cities of Accra and Kumasi, but will focus on community media, which are still the most widespread means of disseminating information throughout Ghana, including broadcasting in the languages ​​of the main ethnic groups.

The project launch was attended by the Deputy Minister of Information, Technology and Innovation Mohammed Adams Sukparu, Director General of the Cybersecurity Authority Divine Selase Agbeti, Director of the National Counter-Terrorism Center, Maj. Gen. Timothy Ba-Taa-Bana, Chairman of the Association of Private Media and Online Publishers David Sitsope Tamakloe, Director of ACDT Emmanuel Adgyare, representatives of the Cyber ​​Security Authority, the Office of the National Security Coordinator, the Ghana Police Service and the media.

Czech Government has decided to financially support the ACDT project due to its high quality, relevance and great potential impact on increasing the cyber literacy of community media and, through them, strengthening the resilience of the Ghanaian public against the dangers posed by cybercrime.
