Foreign Minister Petr Macinka Met His Ghanaian Counterpart Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa in Prague

On 23 May 2026, Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka met in Prague with Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. The meeting confirmed that Ghana remains a key partner for Czechia in West Africa and followed up on the political consultations held between the two countries in April. The Czech side welcomed the current level of bilateral relations and expressed interest in further developing practical cooperation in several specific areas.
The ministers focused on opportunities for further cooperation in the fields of security, healthcare, transport and water management. Czechia also views positively the fact that Czech companies have long enjoyed a good reputation in Ghana and that bilateral relations are built on practical cooperation and mutual trust. During his stay in Prague, Minister Ablakwa took part in the international security conference GLOBSEC.
