During the talks with Leslie Christian, counterpart from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attention was paid to the continuing development of bilateral economic relations in the context of regional integration in West Africa where Ghana plays a significant role. Both sides welcomed the increasing volume of Czech investments in Ghana. The current security situation in Sahel and the UN peacekeeping operation MINUSMA was also discussed. Ghana has one of the largest contingents in this mission and the Czech Republic is planning to send troops to support the UN mission in the upcoming months. Joint cooperation in the stabilisation of the Sahel and the fight against terrorism may be one of the aspects of enhanced cooperation between the Czech Republic and Ghana. Memoranda of understanding between Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defence are currently being negotiated. 

Specific projects to deepen bilateral cooperation related to security were among the main topics of discussions between Deputy Minister Kaucký and Minister of Interior Prosper Bani. Deputy Minister Kaucký was also received by the Secretary to the President of Ghana Kwesi Quartey. The delegation discussed with him the role of African Union and EU in light of recent migration crisis. 

At the end of the program the Czech delegation had the opportunity to visit the Mausoleum and Memorial Park of the first President of Ghana Kwame Nkrumah.
