
Deputy Minister Kaucký in Burkina Faso

Deputy Minister Kaucký was received on Monday 11 April by the President of the Burkina Faso Roch Marc Christian Kaboré during his 3-day visit to Burkina Faso. Lukáš Kaucký is accompanied by Junior Deputy Minister of Defense Jakub Hodinář and a business delegation from military and defense industries. Main theme of the visit is security situation in Sub-Saharan Africa and future cooperation mainly in security-related issues.
During the meeting between the Preisdent of Burkina Faso and the Czech Delegation security issues, fight against terrorism and illegal migration were among main issues discussed. President praised activities of the Czech Republic in the region and expressed hopes that the new chapter of wider and deeper cooperation has just been launched. Deputy Minister Kaucký assured President Kaboré that the priority of the Czech Republic is peace, stability and security in Subsaharan Africa, because that is essential for further development in African countries, including Burkina Faso.
On Tuesday 12th April there will be a meeting of Deputy Minister Kaucký with the Speaker of the National Assembly Salif Diallo. Then the whole delegation will travel to neighboring Ghana where meetings at the Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affaires are scheduled.
