Ambassador of the Czech Republic H. E. Margita Fuchsová visited Ghanaian northern region’s centre Tamale that currently hosts Operation Smile project. Madam Ambassador visited Tamale Teaching Hospital and met with project coordinators same as with surgeons who are executing tens of surgeries every day.

„Our project is great example of how little can be done to improve people’s lives substantially. Devices purchased by Czech Republic help to safe our patients in the case of emergency and we are grateful for having them as one of our supporters,“ expressed her gratitude Operation Smile's regional manager in western and southern Africa Sabrina Ghiddi.

„Besides direct help, one of our key goals is to teach local stuff so that after relocation of the project to some other region or country they can manage these operations by themselves with no help from the outside,“ added one of the surgeons who is currently involved in the project.
