Czech Ambassador Visits Tamale Teaching Hospital

During his working visit to Tamale, the Czech Ambassador visited the Teaching Hospital.

The Teaching Hospital in Tamale has been part of the MEDEVAC program of the Czech Ministry of the Interior for several years, within which Czech medical teams operate on patients in several countries. Czech doctors have been going to Tamale to operate already for six years and have successfully operated on hundreds of Ghanaian patients during this period. The program also includes regular study stays for doctors and medical staff from Tamale in teaching hospitals in Prague and Brno.

The excellent cooperation to date was jointly appreciated by the Czech Ambassador Pavel Bílek and the Director General of the Teaching Hospital Abubakari Bawah Abdulai. The Czech Ambassador met with the hospital management, inspected the workplace where the Czech medical teams operate and met with the hospital staff who assist them in their work.
