Between 3 and 13 November 2025, another mission took place as part of the Czech Ministry of the Interior’s MEDEVAC programme. A trauma medical team of five members from the General University Hospital in Prague, led by Associate Professor Filip Burget, carried out operations on patients at Tamale Teaching Hospital in northern Ghana. Thanks to the procedures performed by the Czech doctors, people who had suffered severe injuries to their lower limbs will regain the ability to stand on their own feet. An additional benefit of the programme, which has been running regularly in Ghana for several years, is the sharing of know-how and surgical techniques with Ghanaian doctors.
