Remembering Milos Forman

On 26 November, 2018, the Czech Embassy in Accra organised a screening of the Oscar winning movie Amadeus in order to commemorate its Czech-born director, Mr. Milos Forman, who passed away earlier this year.

The screening was attended by nearly 100 guests from the diplomatic corp, expat community, students and general public. Ambassador Margita Fuchsová briefly introduced the main accomplishments of Mr. Forman. She reminded the guests that although Mr. Forman shot his most famous movies in Hollywood, he started his career in Czechoslovakia and it was only after the Warsaw Pact invasion when he decided to emigrate to the United States. The Amadeus movie was screened in the amphitheatre of Alliance Francaise in Accra and met with great success with the visitors.
