MEDEVAC in Ghana

The first activity of the MEDEVAC programme of the Czech Ministry of Interior this year was an internship from Ghana at the FNKV Prague in the specialisation of plastic surgery. From 20 to 26 February 2023, the University Hospital Královské Vinohrady in Prague welcomed 3 doctors from the partner hospital in Cape Coast, Ghana, in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. The doctors, whose internship took place under the guidance of Prof. Andrej Sukop, M.D., Ph.D., and his team, had the opportunity to study many interesting cases during their stay. Their internship was followed by a mission of plastic surgeons from the Czech Republic to Ghana in May this year, during the working visit of the Czech Interior Minister Mr Rakusan in Cape Coast.MEDEVAC at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital executed this time 58 surgeries on a 26/7 theater.
