Africa Day 2023 marked in Prague

The Sub-Saharan Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with African embassies in Prague is organising a traditional conference on Thursday 25 May on the occasion of International Africa Day, which this year marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Organisation of African Unity the predecessor of the African Union. In the spirit of economic and scientific diplomacy, this year's conference, entitled "Innovations for Africa's Future Generations", is dedicated to cooperation with African partners in the fields of innovation, new technologies, science and research. The opening address will be given by the First Deputy Foreign Minister, who will also open the reception in the garden of the Czernin Palace. Africa Day is also being commemorated in most of African countries.
