CZ defense industry in Burkina Faso, Ghana and Togo

Deputy for Management of the Industrial Cooperation  of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic,  Tomáš Kopečný, accompanied by a representative delegation of  Czech entrepreneurs visited Burkina Faso, Ghana and Togo  on 6 -13 July  to present the Czech Defense Industry. The deputy minister in Ghana also sign  an MOU  on defense cooperation between the CZ and GH. Czech Special representative for Sahel, and the Special envoy for strategic minerals led also paralel consultations with their counterparts  in the mentioned countries.

During the trip, Deputy Kopečný led negotiations with his counterparts, which focused both on the development and strengthening of bilateral defense cooperation, as well as on multilateral cooperation, resp. the Czech Republic's participation in military missions aimed at stabilizing the Sahel and combating terrorism. DEFCON, Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod, Aero Vodochody, Lom Trade Praha, Excalibur Army, SVOS, European Air services, Transcon, Czechoslovak group, Bowenite and TVT Europe participated in the mission on behalf of the defense industry. The preparation, implementation and accompaniment of the delegation was provided by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Accra. The aim of the project was to present Czech companies in the mentioned countries and to conduct meetings at the Ministries of Defense and National Security, Interior, as well as at the General Staffs, the Air Force, the gendarmerie and the police. The culmination of the event was the signing of the MOU between the Ministryies of Defense of the Czech Republic and Ghana.
