The Czech Embassy in Yerevan invites Armenian university graduates to apply for an entry-level job of the Assistant to Economic Section.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Yerevan is currently looking to hire an Assistant for the Economic Section.
Our requirements:
- Citizen of Armenia with a clean criminal record
- Strong background in economics, a University graduate with at least a Master’s Degree (preferably in economics)
- Great understanding of macroeconomics, good knowledge of the economy of Armenia, both on the sectoral and microeconomic levels, familiarity with the legal environment in Armenia (tax code, relevant laws)
- Excellent command of English (both written and oral) and fluency in Russian; knowledge of Czech language would be an asset
- Strong analytical skills, ability to conduct independent research and prepare background materials on trade and economic matters
- Attention to detail, reliability
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills (personal interaction, e-mail, telephone)
- Proficiency in IT (Microsoft Office, Internet)
- Driver’s license would be a plus
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience; experience from an international environment would be a major plus

Suitable candidates will be contacted in the week between 19-23 August and asked to submit a written analysis of a specific economic problem and/or situation (in English, deadline and other details will be specified in a separate e-mail).
Last stage of the selection process will be a personal interview at the Embassy (conducted in English and Russian languages).
Start of the work: October 2024 (subject to approval by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic).
