The event was organized by the Defence Attaché Col. Kubíček and took place under patronage of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Lithuania H.E. R. Pech. The informal happening allowed the Defence Attachés accredited in Lithuania, representatives of the diplomatic community and guests from the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence, the General Staff and the Air Base HQ to view the JAS-39 Gripen fighters, meet the pilots and the ground personnel, learn more about their mission and taste the original Czech "Imperial Goulash".

In the evening a Czech movie "Dark Blue World" by J. Svěrák was screened in Šiaulial Cultural Centre. The film was welcomed by the audience very warmly and, with its "air force" atmosphere, it crowned the day in a very pleasant way.
