Czech experts led by Vojtěch Petráček, Rector of the Czech Technical University in Prague, visited Israel from November 19 to November 21. The delegation was consisted of representatives of three Czech universities (Czech Technical University in Prague, Brno University of Technology and Masaryk University) as well as experts from the Czech Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Cyber and Security Information Agency.
The delegation met with leading researchers from Cyber Security Research Centers of the Technion, Bar Ilan University, Hebrew University and Ben Gurion University and held meetings with the Cyberbit company in Raanana, and Israel National CERT in Beer Sheva. The key focus of the delegation was mainly applied cryptography, hacking prevention protection, and digital forensics.
There is a strong base for mutual Czech-Israeli cooperation in the area of cyber security research, which shall soon materialize into agreements between Czech and Israeli universities about student exchange programs and research projects.
This mission took place thanks to the kind financial support of the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic in the frame of „Project of economic diplomacy“ (PROPED). The Czech Embassy in Tel Aviv would like to thank all participants for their cooperation.
