During the visit, RAFAEL presented its advanced defense technologies, including the Spike family of anti-tank missiles, David’s Sling, Sky Sonic, Iron Dome, Barak, and Stunner missile systems. Additional capabilities showcased were the Python and I-Derby air-to-air missiles, as well as the Samson-G remote weapon stations, which are operational within the Czech Army. The Spyder MR system, selected by the Czech government in 2021, is currently being delivered and integrated.

The delegation toured RAFAEL’s showroom, where discussions highlighted ongoing Czech-Israeli defense collaborations. A significant focus was the production transfer partnership facilitating the manufacturing of complete Spyder launcher systems in the Czech Republic. Key Czech partners in this initiative include RETIA, responsible for coordinating system integration and subcontracting, and the Military Technical Institute (VTÚ), tasked with delivering command posts, software integration, and secure communications.

Ongoing talks with Czech company ERA, a specialist in passive surveillance technologies, further illustrate the strong potential for expanding industrial cooperation . RAFAEL emphasized its interest in expanding its supplier base in Europe, creating real potential for Czech defense and industrial companies.

RAFAEL also emphasized its investments in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and space technologies, including the Thunderstorm project, which offers potential applications for the Czech defense sector in wide-area surveillance and control.

The visit reinforced RAFAEL’s commitment to innovation, combat-proven solutions, and strategic partnerships, laying a robust foundation for future collaborations in advanced defense technologies between the Czech Republic and Israel.
