Ambassador Rychtar presented his credentials to President Rouhani

On September 29, 2020, H. E. Josef Rychtar, ambassador, presented to President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H. E. Hassan Rouhani, the Letter of Credence appointing him as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Islamic Republic of Iran. The ceremonial was held under strict hygienic measures. Copy of the Letter of Credence have been submitted to the Minister of Foreign Affairs earlier this year on April 13, 2020.
President Rouhani has expressed satisfaction with the EU position on JCPOA and called for development of bilateral relations with the Czech Republic. Ambassador Rychtar stressed out that during his tenure he will do his best to deepen common ties between the two countries. COVID-19 epidemic has strongly influenced ceremonial act during which social distancing and wearing masks was strictly observed.
