
Special group for pre-school children with autism was opened in Zugdidi

A special group for children with autism was opened in No. 5 kindergarten in Zugdidi at the end of October.
Zugdidi is the first municipality in Georgia, which, after Tbilisi launched a similar project. The special group is designed for 8 children. Newly qualified tutors will work there with children with autism spectrum disorder. The opening event was visited by the representatives of local authorities and the Embassy of the Czech Republic. Special group for children with autism is implemented activity in frame of the project “Development of Services for Children and Youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders in Georgia” funded by the Czech Development Cooperation.
