
Czech Defence Minister Martin Stropnický on a working visit to Georgia

On 21 – 23 June 2017, Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic Martin Stropnický visited Georgia. He discussed the possibilies of further deepening Czech-Georgian cooperation in the sphere of defence with Minister of Defence of Georgia Levan Izoria.
During the stay in Georgia, Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic Martin Stropnický together with President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili unveiled a statue of Václav Havel at the Václav Havel´s Park in Vake district of Tbilisi.
In the town of Gori, the Czech Defence Minister visited the 94-year-old World War II veteran Irakli Kandareli who had taken an active part in the liberation of several cities in the present day Moravian-Silesian Region. Ministr Stropnický then visited Odzisi to get acquainted with the situation at the Administrative Boundary Line with separatist South Ossetia.
