Ambassador of the Czech Republic congratulates World War II veteran Irakli Kandareli on 94th birthday

On 21 November 2017, Ambassador of the Czech Republic Tomáš Pernický paid a visit to World War II veteran and citizen of Gori Mr. Irakli Kandareli and congratulated him on his recent 94th birthday. In the spring of 1945, Mr. Kandareli took part in the liberation of several Czechoslovak cities, mainly in Northern Moravia, and is now the Honorary Citizen of the cities of Ostrava, Olomouc, Opava and others.
